We provide food, clothing, and the hope of Jesus to those in need.
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." — Matthew 25:35–40
A region quietly hurting.
In Putnam County and across the Upper Cumberland, thousands of families live one car repair, one lost paycheck, or one medical bill away from going hungry. We meet many of them every week.
They are working parents, grandparents raising grandchildren, neighbors between jobs, and people walking through seasons of loss. We don't ask them to prove their need — we simply welcome them.

Sustained by the local Church.
The Care Center exists because seven local congregations stand behind this work — with their giving, their volunteers, and their prayers. Every neighbor we serve is served by the Body of Christ in Cookeville.
Multiplied through Second Harvest Food Bank.
Our partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank stretches every dollar given — turning gifts into thousands of pounds of nourishing food for our neighbors.

Care, with dignity.
- One-on-one counseling. Every guest sits down with a real person, not a clipboard.
- Shop-with-dignity thrift store. Clothing is free — a bag, a smile, no questions.
- Always free. 100% of what we provide is given, never sold.
- Always pointing to Jesus. We pray for every person who walks in.
